Kieu Wong works with colleges and universities within United States as the Senior Director of Academic Relations for www.Flashnotes.com. Kieu wants to change the current academic landscape of learning for all institutions of higher education by way of the educational technology that her company promotes. Her program addresses two very common problems within academia and they are retention of students and successful completion of courses. Kieu's company, www.flashnotes.com, has a system in which students who are experiencing difficulty completing a course can use the notes from their fellow successful students who set their own price on those notes for sale. The notes from the more successful students explain the subject matter from a student who is progressing in above average manner in the very course that the struggling student is taking. These notes from one student to the other have a tremendous impact, and many times are more helpful than a professors explanation to a struggling student. The students whose notes are used create their own and help to complement and reinforce the in-class experience and the textbooks. Kieu was a first generation college graduate who worked two jobs to put herself through school, so she has a particular interest in seeing this program be introduced to all institutions of higher learning. She'd like to connect with VP's of Academic Affairs, Deans and Directors of Student Services. She fluently speaks both English and Vietnamese.
