Kim Westendorf is the founder and owner of Tri-State Casings Co., supplying meat casings to the meat processing industry. One of very few women in this role, Kim gained her knowledge of the industry in the fields as one of the top performing sales representatives. She has a Certification in Business/Data Management from Southwest Community College and is a member of the American Association of Meat Processors. Kim was inspired to open Tri-State Casings Co. after her sales manager refused to retain her as an outside representative when she moved from Ohio to North Carolina, even though she was a top representative within the business. Upset that the company showed so little appreciation for her, she decided to be the change she wanted to see for women in her industry. With much resilience and a drive to succeed for herself and for other women in business, Kim has proved to be a valuable and leading member of the meat processing industry and is eager to encourage and mentor other female professionals. Driven by a desire to help others, Kim enjoys giving back to her community through service, outreach and support.
