Karen Mary Harrison-Taylor is an incredibly accomplished Change Management and Business Excellence specialist currently serving as Head of Integrated Quality Management System for ESNAAD. Some of her key responsibilities include leading, planning and managing the implementation and conformance to the Integrated Management System (HSSEQ + BCMS + EnMS) to support achievement of the company’s strategy across 11 Divisions. Karen is currently leading the 2014-2015 Plan for the Sheikh Khaifa Quality Award and the EFQM Business Excellence Award Specifically, she heads the integrated management system comprised of five international standards: ISO 9001; ISO 14001; ISO 18001; ISO 22301 and ISO 50001. Karen has a significant amount of international experience, having worked in the UK, Germany, Qatar and the UAE. At the core of her diverse experience is strong quality management skills, business excellence, organizational development, strategic planning, organizational development, and leadership. In addition, she thrives on developing people through executive coaching, training her team in system management, while acknowledging the many facets of people and tapping into their key strengths. In her work with both colleagues and clients, Karen also naturally excels at relationship building, and interacts with 120 different nationalities in this country. Indeed, she embraces change, welcomes criticism, diligently gets tasks accomplished, and views everything as a work in progress. Her overall perspective is to effectively manage the implementation of Change Management Procedure across the base, whilst promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Indeed, Karen brings a lot of passion to her role and functions well in an international environment. She speaks English and some German. Karen's approach also embodies a distinct appreciation for cultural sensitivity and she possesses a real flair for resolving conflicts and negotiating paths through the most challenging aspects of service transformation. In her spare time, she is an avid kayaker, enjoys keeping fit, and loves painting and drawing.
