Kristi was born in Tampa, Florida, and moved with her family to Karamursel, Turkey at the age of 3 where she lived until age 14. Kristi loved the "military brat" lifestyle and has instilled her love of world travel to her daughters. Kristi graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in telecommunications, and worked as a television news producer and movie critic prior to attending law school. She is still an avid Gator fan and her fondest college memories are playing the clarinet in the University of Florida Gator marching and concert bands. Kristi attended law school ten years after receiving her undergraduate degree, and financed her graduate studies by producing infomercials and travel documentaries for cruise lines. Since graduating with honors from Stetson University College of Law in 1997, Kristi has worked exclusively as a trial lawyer and mediator.
