Kristine Burns is Deputy Director at Our Native American Business Network (ONABEN). Kristine graduated from The University of Montana with a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology and a Minor in Native American Studies (1996.) She serves as Board Member for Willow Brook Arts Camp and is author of “Indianpreneurship: A Native American Journey into Business,” a Native American Cultural Text Book written in story form that generates between $60-75k in annual revenue for ONABEN. In her spare time, she enjoys music, the outdoors, arts and culture, and volunteer work. ONABEN is a national 501(c)(3) organization, created in 1991 by four Oregon tribes to encourage the development of a private sector on their reservations, now serving Native communities nationwide. Kristine has been with the organization for over 17 years having started out as a Program Director. She is responsible for all internal administrative departments and responsible for grant proposals and distributions. She works with the Administrative Services Finance Director (ASFD) to ensure compliance, review and approval of external contracts, including risk management, insurance, and legal issues.
