Dr. Kristin Speck is the Managing Director for EuKTS. The main objective of the EuKTS Association is to increase the status and recognition of the Knowledge Transfer (KT) profession. Thus, EuKTS develops adequate professional and training standards including the definition of the Professional KT Curriculum and procedures for accreditation of courses and certification of individuals at different stages of their professional career. A brilliant woman with a deep background in education strategy and administration, Dr. Speck oversees the key functions development for Europe and International operational actions. She is responsible for all of the political aspects, legal status, fundraising and stakeholders and members of EuKTS. Dr. Speck received a Ph.D in Economics of Innovation in the field of high-speed railway industry (Alstom Transport/Inrets). After this experience in research, she has been involved in questions related to IP and innovation at the French Office for IP since 2001, first as economist at the Observatory for intellectual property where she carried and managed quantitative and qualitative surveys. In 2008, she switched to the Office’s external training department as training manager where she notably developed on demand IP initial and professional training programs. In 2011, Dr. Speck became the head of the external training department of the Office. She managed and implemented numerous training and national certification projects and partnerships involving multiple public and private stakeholders specialized in the field of intellectual property and tech transfer. Early 2015, she joined the EuKTS (European Knowledge Transfer Society) association, first as acting, then as full managing director. EuKTS aims at developing accreditation of training programs and certification of skills in the field of knowledge transfer. Dr. Speck has been part-time professor at the Institute for political studies of Lille from 2010 to 2014. She is involved in several NGOs related to social and cultural innovation. In her free time she likes to read, go to the cinema, and values fine arts.
