Born and raised in Northern California, Kyria moved to the Pacific Northwest 12 years ago with her husband of 20 years and (now) 3 teenage boys. They are a fun, dorky, crazy family - enjoying movies, comic cons, and heated debates about comic book heroes! Her family is her pride and joy! Kyria has a sister who (thankfully) followed them up to the beautiful Northwest, she is an attorney and property manager. They were raised by their mother who was an English teacher. Education has always been a focus - even now she loves the opportunity to learn something new! Kyria holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Masters in Business Administration. She also studied Child Development and Biology at California State University of Sacramento. Kyria started her professional career as a teacher/day care coordinator and quickly fell into the roll of Human Resources. Kyria has had the pleasure of owning multiple businesses over the last 20 years, including two Quiznos, catering company, property management, firm, and business/human resource consulting. She has worked in a number of distinct industries from child care, food service/catering, health care, janitorial, retail, and more. Kyria started CLM Solutions in 2011 when she realized the need for small business (and some larger businesses) to have an all in one resource for their HR needs. Employees are every company's most valuable (and costly) asset - ensuring they are trained, engaged, accountable, and thriving are the cornerstones to creating a growing and profitable business. Many small businesses feel that they won't need HR support till they 'get bigger' - unfortunately the smaller your company the larger impact HR challenges can have on day to day operations. Kyria is the owner of CLM Solutions, and the current Regional Human Resource Manager for Dollar Tree Distribution. She is the Managing Member of Finance for B&B Management, a rental property management company with holdings in California and Washington. She is also the Director of Communication for the Southwest Washington chapter of the Society of Human Resource Managers board (swshrm.org), as well as an executive member of the Ridgefield High School Boosters responsible for membership and volunteers. Kyria holds a Senior Professional Human Resource Certification (SPHR) and has over 20 years experience creating HR programs, employee handbooks and policies, job contracts and descriptions, training and engagement programs, as well as providing guidance and support for a variety of HR challenges including terminations, cease and desist notices, lay offs, responding to EEOC and NLRB claims, unemployment claims, and worker's compensation. She has practiced Human Resources in California, Oregon, and Washington. In today's business world things are ever changing. The ability to stay on top of legal, social, training, and leadership trends is key to keeping strong talent, removing obstacles to success, and bringing the best of those that work with and for you. Clear expectations, strong training, and engagement create opportunity for each employee to shine! Overall Kyria loves to see businesses grow and thrive! How can CLM Solutions help you today?
