Major Lara Morell has been a practicing attorney for over 10 years having started out as a general practitioner in family court. She is currently a Special Victims' Counsel for the United States Army Reserve. She is a counsel for victims of sexual assault while serving in the military and is very outspoken in her advocacy for justice for women who have been marginalized while serving their country. She is the USAR Legal Command's SVC Regional Manager for the Central Region of the country and she is stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. Major Morell has also risen to the ranks of Major and has had a remarkable career in the United States Army. Major Morell participates and trains Servicemembers in conferences and workshops associated with the legal standards concerning conduct and the prevention of sexual assault. Major Morell holds many honors and awards given for excellence and is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar. She holds a Juris Doctor in Law from The Inter American University School of Law and gained a Bachelor's Degree in World History. Lara is very passionate about The World Central Kitchen Charitable Organization, any association helping victims of domestic and sexual abuse, and Down Syndrome Awareness. In her spare time, Major Morell hopes to visit as many exotic travel destinations as possible.
