Laura Butler is a seasoned leader with over 20 years experience in the field of Human Resources, Training and Development currently serving as a Managing Director and Business Consultant for Fusion Consulting. Additionally, she serves as consultant to a number of leaders and companies in the Caribbean, Canada, USA & Europe in the fields of business, education, sports and health as well as Adjunct Faculty (Guest Lecturer) at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Norman Manley Law School (NMLS) and University of Technology (UTECH), University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC). She is also a contributing author to the Education/Career sections of the leading newspaper publication in Jamaica, The Jamaica Gleaner. A public figure, Ms. Butler is a regular invited guest on some of the leading radio and tv stations in Jamaica such as CVM,TVJ, RJR, NationwideFM, Power106m, ZipFM, LoveFM, KLAS, Centre Circle TVJ sports. She also serves as a mentor to a number of young people who have become leaders in their respective fields and has helped to secure funding and scholarships for them. Ms. Butler successfully held the Miss World franchise for Jamaica in 2013-2016. She implemented full educational scholarships for all contestants a value of over US$370K, aired the finals live for the first time in over 26 countries, rebranded the franchise and digital assets to quadruple the social media following. She then went on to successfully lead and host the first reigning Miss World and Miss World chair visit to Jamaica in 2014. A number of her contestants have completed their degrees, become UN ambassadors, Hollywood Actors, Teachers, Doctors, US marines, UNAIDS representatives, teachers, and TV hosts.
