Laura Brown is the Chief Financial Officer for Racine Kenosha Community Action Agency, Inc. She has dedicated her career and volunteering to non-profit accounting. She holds a deep desire to see non-profit organizations flourish on the foundation of solid accounting and internal control practices. She began as a bookkeeper and worked her way through university and escalating levels of responsibilities and titles.
Laura is skilled in forensic accounting and turning organizations around. She started her career as a part time bookkeeper, and as her skills grew so did her interest in accounting. She believes that paying attention to details, while seeing the big picture at the same time, has played a key role in her success. Outside of work she supports the Care Net Pregnancy Help Center as well as the Silent No More Awareness Campaign.
