Lauren B. Sammes has more than 30 years of professional experience in her career and is currently a Chief Technology Officer working with Low Emmisions Resources Corp. Lauren's main role and responsibilities consist of looking after all of the resource development for the company, spearheading existing projects and new projects, and working with the project teams and the resource team to establish future goals.
Lauren holds her Doctoral Degree in Chemistry from Emperial College in addition to a Master's in Business. She is a chartered engineer and an active member of The Institute of Materials Society. Also a dynamic speaker, she has done many public speaking engagements consisting of public conferences and lecturing at the University. Frequently lauded for her work, she received numerous awards and recognition including a medal from The University of Connecticut for teaching and 2 awards from ASOME. Also a prolific writer, she has 300 papers and 5 books published on electrical chemical society.
In the next few years, Lauren plans to continue to grow, continue make a difference in the field, and possibly do some consulting. When not engaged with work, she enjoys travel and hiking.
