Leny Maldonado has been working for the Puerto Rican National Guard for the past 25 years. She was hired at an entry level and after an assessment test was placed in HR, which she found perfect because it's what she wanted to do and was in school for. She is responsible for a total of 150 people at a time and is responsible for all health/personal issues.
She has always been extremely good at helping people in need, and has a knack for human resources. She does training with recruits and new employees, and is looking to go up in rank and break records in being the first female to achieve the positions offered. She finds listening and catering to the troops and everyone in her Camp Santiago Unit’s needs have gotten her very far.
She is most proud of a family program established within the national guard in which they incorporated the troops as well as their families. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
