Leza Marie Warnke is RN, BAN, CCTC for UW Health. She started work as a Nurse Intern and worked her way up through the hospital. She worked in the level 1 Trauma Center for 10 years, then moved into Care Team Leader in charge of staffing and triage. She was the Chair Unit Counsel until recently helping to improve hospital process. She is helping to create a healthy work environment and communication practices. She then moved into a transplant coordinator role to work as a facilitator for people who need organ transplants, and currently works in living donor coordinator. She created a position to facilitate a pair donation through the kidney transplant registry. She is currently weighing options to go back to school and get her Masters in Business since organ transplant is moving more in that direction or continue down her current path. She is a Certified Transplant Coordinator, and is currently working with a Research Committee for the National Kidney Registry working towards getting papers published for best practice. Her success is due to not taking no for an answer and doing her job with a high level of integrity, morals and ethics. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
