Laura Glick Meyer is a trailblazer for women everywhere. After being accepted to Columbia in the early 80's, Laura was one of the first woman to graduate from a previously male-dominated University. She went on to practice law at several firms in New York and Los Angeles before penning her first book "Remodel this! A Woman's Guide to Planning and Surviving the Madness of a Home Renovation" which was published by Penguin in 2007. Shortly thereafter, and inspired by having twin sons who had chemical sensitivities, Laura made it her mission to create a greener consumer market and founded The Ultimate Green Store.com (also known as TUGS). The Ultimate Green Store (www.theultimategreenstore.com) carries a huge selection of organic and eco-friendly products for the home, baby and kids. The business is soon set to launch its own TUGS branded product of organic bedding, baby clothes and pajamas. As a home and green lifestyles expert, Laura has appeared on many tv and radio shows and been interviewed for many articles including CNN, ABC News, Oprah & Friends, The Washington Post and The Chicago Tribune. Laura was also a featured expert in Random House’s series The Expert’s Guide (October, 2008) and has written many articles about going green for a number of publications and blogs. Laura credits her success to the energy derived from pursuing one's passion, a balance of knowing how to lead and delegate, being flexible, and having a great team around her.
