Linda Simms retired after more than 20 years as an Administrator in corporate America after the death of her husband. She became a client of a professional coach and found it so helpful that she decided to become a coach herself. She has her own LLC, Beyond12Steps, where she coaches women in recovery and is a Life Coach for growth coaching both men and women in personal growth, career, empowerment and life skills. She has been a certified life coach for over eight years and started a companion career as substance abuse counselor almost four years ago. Presently, she is in the PhD program at Capella University in the Advance Studies in Human Behavior. Linda holds her Master's degree in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University, an additional Master's degree in Creative Writing from Full Sail University, and a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management & Leadership from Ashford University. Also a writer, she has been writing a book for 8 years that she expects to complete next month, March 2019, and have published. Moving forward, Linda plans to complete and receive her PhD and open a special home facility for single, childless women and those who have grown children where they receive holistic therapy for substance abuse and related issues and transitional support for both the homeless and housed. When not engaged with work, Linda enjoys taking cruises, like the Capital Jazz Cruise, and is a foodie.
