Linda Sorensen is the Chief Operating Officer at National Fragile X Foundation. She is a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and mission-driven non-profit leader with extensive experience in people, programs, projects and operations. She has a proven track-record of successful development programs and exemplary organizational and problem-solving achievements. In addition, Linda is also well-versed in financial and information systems to support organizational goals.
The National Fragile X Foundation unites the Fragile X community to enrich lives through educational and emotional support promoting public and professional awareness on research for improved treatments and a cure for Fragile Xeer education, training and management. Fragile X syndrome is a genetic condition that causes a range of developmental problems including learning disabilities and cognitive impairment.
Linda received her BA in Psychology from San Jose State University and her M.S. in Adult Education from the University of Southern Maine. Outside of work she is affiliated with he Special olympics and the UC Davis MIND Institute.
