Lisa Gans worked abroad for eight years in countries including Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan, Swaziland and Pakistan. Lisa has worked with the National Democratic Institute and the International Bar Association on the constitutional processes in Iraq and Swaziland. She worked with Medica Mondiale on mediation trainings for lawyers representing women in Afghanistan’s prisons, with a woman-owned consulting company on the national elections for the Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Industries, and with the Young Presidents' Organization to explore supporting a local chapter. Lisa worked with the International Medical Corps on health and nutrition programming in Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia, focusing on rape prevention in Eastern Congo. She represented refugees in Egypt in their UNHCR hearings and worked in Afghanistan helping refugees and training the government on how to bring refugees back without repercussions. She helped countries build their health infrastructure and speaks about family law, Islamic law, and facilitating innovation labs. Lisa is a frequent contributor to the Huffington Post. Lisa is fluent in English, Hebrew and some Arabic.
