Loreto Urqueta is an Attorney & Legal Translator at 3rd Floor Translations, a legal translation company. It has been in operation since 2013, however Loreto has been an attorney for 18 years. Loreto worked while at University. Early in her career she became a Partner in a law firm however she did not like the long hours. She went on to work for a huge mining company in Chile for 3 years. Loreto left the mining company to work in the Pharmaceutical Industry as a Compliance Officer for 4 years. She was not happy or fulfilled with the work she was doing and deep down knew she wanted her own business. She partnered with a High School friend who lived in Los Angeles, CA and 3rd Floor Translators was born. Loreto is based in Chile while her partner is based in Los Angeles. Loreto is in charge of managing accounts in Chile while her Partner handles US clients. They also have several European clients. They currently have more clients in Chile than elsewhere. The company works with 6-7 translators however this must be reviewed by an Attorney and Loreto does the reviewing. She also serves as Legal Counsel for Latin America for Spartan Motors USA 3rd Floor Translators is a Global company. In the future Loreto would like to extend services abroad. Outside of work she supports Green Peace; Amnesty International; and Abandonados Nen Penalolen which is an Animal Shelter in Chile.
