Lucía Torroba was born in Argentina and moved 700km away from home to study medicine at the young age of 18. Upon completing her degree, she moved to Uruguay and became a Plastic Surgeon. She has over 7 years of experience in her field, and has practiced in hospitals, insurance healthcare institutions, and currently in her private practice. Her main role is to see voluntary and emergency room patients and helps treat people suffering trauma or needing procedures such as breast reconstruction. She works with different types of patients, including workers, pediatrics, and adults.
She holds a postdoctoral degree in the specialization, and found she followed a natural progression and passion into her chosen career. She does public speaking engagements consisting of doing presentations and has received many achievements and recognitions for her contribution to the field.
