Lynn Addison was a senior editor for National Geographic Magazine, retiring after 28 years with the organization. While at the magazine, Lynn edited feature stories specializing in the sciences. Known as a "writer's editor," she soon left retirement to work for six months at Science News, in Washington, DC, and then to freelance for AARP as an online editor for a new website, "The Travel Experience." Lynn also posts blogs and articles to the website. Lynn's writing has been published in National Geographic Traveler Magazine and in National Geographic Books. She is fluent in French and loves to travel with her husband, who is a graphic designer. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering at Woodrow Wilson High School, from which she graduated in 1970 (her daughters graduated in 2005 and 2011), assisting students in the college office writing essays for their college applications.
