Margaret F. Reid is a Professor of the Department of Political Science in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. She holds a PhD from the University of Oklahoma, an MPA and an MBA. Her research focuses on complexities involving the implementation of multi-actor policy partnerships, nonprofit capacity building through the 501c3 "Nonprofit Change Project" (http://ncp.uark.edu); sustainable community development and on gendered workplaces. She co-authored Glass Walls and Glass Ceilings: Women’s Representation in State and Municipal Bureaucracies. Her research has been published in among others Sex Roles, Journal of Women, Politics & Policy, Administration & Society, Public Administration Review, American Review of Public Administration, Review of Public Personnel Administration, State and Local Government Review, Urban Affairs Review, European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Management Information Systems, Information & Management, Journal of Asian and African Studies, and International Journal of Tourism as well as most recently in Strategy & Leadership.
Her current research focuses on nonprofit board behavior.

Dr. Margaret F. Reid is Professor at University of Arkansas,Department of Political Science. Margaret has a PhD in Political Science with concentration in Public Administration, from the University of Oklahoma, 1986. She has conducted research on gendered workplaces and is working with nonprofit organizations to improve their impact on communities as well as strengthen their strategic capacities and board practices. She is spearheading with colleagues a new Initiative for Resilient Philanthropy and Public Policy. She is president of a 501c3 called Nonprofit Change Project (https://ncp.uark.edu/) that works with regional nonprofits on capacity building, board development, innovative fund development approaches and improving collaboration other nonprofits.
