Strong administrative professional with a Master degree in Nurse Sciences, a PhD student focused in physiologic pregnancy, birth and in urinary incontinence in women working in UCP - Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Maria Guerra has over 9 years of experience in her field nas 20 years as a nurse. On a daily basis she leads classes in nursing school regarding pregnancy, birth lessons and other subjects in women´s health. She says that she has always wanted to contribute to the change in women´s and men´s experiences in birth and has had a strong passion for helping others. She believes that the world can be a better world by making birth a positive experience for parents and for babies. Now she is studying urinary incontinence in women as an hide health problem
Maria says that she is best known for her competence, safety, persistence and honesty. She has a Master’s Degree from 2011 and is currently studying for her PhD at the University of Portugal. She is a member of the Midwives Association and the LLCA Association. Maria says that she does presentations and lectures on the procedures of going through labor.
Maria was published in The Portuguese Midwives Article in 2018. She attributes her success to her persistence and never giving up. In the future she hopes to finish her PhD and obtain a midwife degree. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
