Marie-Joie Hughes is the VP of the Product Development Studio at Williams-Sonoma Inc. She has over 33 years of experience in design and manages a team of designers for both William Sonoma and Pottery Barn on both prints, and patterns for 4 divisions. Marie-Joie has a team of 20 designers who she has coached and mentored, some starting as young adults who have continued to work with her. Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is an American publicly traded consumer retail company that sells kitchenware and home furnishings. It is headquartered in San Francisco, California, United States, and is one of the largest e-commerce retailers in the U.S., and one of the biggest multi-channel specialty retailers in the world. Marie-Joie works closely with manufacturers domestically and over-seas in factories to execute and create designs that are production friendly and cutting edge in technique and execution. Forever curious about the world, Marie-Joie is a great designer who stays fluid and sees everything years ahead of everyone else, and yet is present at the all time. When not working she enjoys artwork, traveling, and yoga.
