Marmie Jotter is a meditation instructor, psychotherapist and CEO of Kind Mind Counseling Center, offering long and short-term psychotherapy for individuals, families, and teens, in the treatment of behavior patterns, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, crisis counseling, major life changes, trauma, chronic pain/health conditions.
Marmie has a Masters degree with emphasis on Anishinabe studies, a Bachelors degree in Psychology and is currently working toward her Doctorate. She is a Certified Meditation Instructor through the American Institute of Health Care Professionals. She studies traditional psychology, ongoing clinical trainings, Buddhist psychology, mindfulness meditation practice, and the immersion into cultural travel experiences. She traveled to Peru, Nepal, Bhutan, Ireland, India, and the Tibet region of China. While studying Tibetan medicine, she met His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama.
With a deep connection to her community, Marmie provides innovative programs for personal and professional development. Marmie is committed to practicing mindfulness: an open, clear, non-judging awareness, ongoing study/learning, the practice of honesty, and right speech. She aspires to live in a way that promotes harmony and alleviates suffering. Through Soul College Meditation Center, open to anyone on a donation basis, Marmie gives proceeds back to the community to the Food Shelf, Miracle League, and other various local community programs that needs assistance.
