Maru San Martin has over six years of experience with owning her own business. The focus of her company is to teach women who have been abused or that have been in jail how to write creatively to uplift their confidence. She teaches them to use writing as a tool for their healing. Her expertise are in creative writing and feminist writing. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Unarte in 2018. She was inspired for this field when she met a woman who was been a victim of white slave traffic and she could not been able to talk about it. Maru was teaching a course of grammar and spelling, but she noticed that when she handed that woman without a voice a pen and paper she began to open up and eventually she was able to heal by writting her autobiography. She says the key to her success has been setting goals and staying with them until she sees the results. In the next few years she will continue teaching her lessons for women who suffer from prostitution and domestic violence. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
