Dr. Mary Elisabeth Dean obtained her Ph.D. in the department of Counseling Psychology/Counselor Education from New York University in 1985. Following this she was a psychological counselor for students and an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the American University in Cairo, Egypt. Beginning in 1991, Dr. Dean had a private practice in Psychotherapy, specializing in the treatment of adolescents and adults, in Red Bank New Jersey, which continued for the next 20 years. Concurrently, she worked for ten years in the practices of two psychiatrists in Toms River, N.J., as a psychotherapist. In 2011, she moved her practice to Monmouth Beach, New Jersey and continues in a limited private practice of psychotherapy. Dr. Dean is a Psychologist, Educator and Seminar Presenter. She was a pro bono consultant to the Women With Disabilities of Monmouth County for many years. She also did pro bono Psychological Counseling for clients and workshops for staff at 180 Turning Lives Around, Inc. These were heart-warming experiences.
Extensive knowledge of the field of psychology and the integration of nutritional and spiritual counseling in the treatment of the whole person.
