Melanie White is the Founder and President of HisTieHerTie Jewelry. She founded her company in February 2018 after catching a glimpse of a once expensive, gorgeous red Italian tie in the window of a consignment store for a very low price and deciding she could create unique and unusual pieces of jewelry by repurposing vintage items. Prior to this venture, Ms. White had run her own businesses as a jewelry designer for 15 years, and so decided to combine design with the art of repurposing to create memorable items and gifts for a myriad of occasions. Ms. White holds her Bachelor's degree in Education and taught pre-K through 3rd grade and reading as a specialist for a few years in Cleveland, Ohio both before and during the first part of her career as an entrepreneur. Her first business, Melanie White Designs LLC, was founded in 2006. Forever passionate about the empowerment of women, Ms. White started a symposium, also in Cleveland, at which she often spoke publicly. She now continues this work in Naples, Florida through the Naples Shelter where she does, from time to time, give motivating and empowering talks to the women. Moving forward, Ms. White hopes to expand her company into other fashion apparel by remaining fashion forward and on the cutting edge in design.
