With over 15 years of professional experience, Mette Dahlgaard is the Head Chef and Gastronomy Expert at GEMYSE at Tivoli Garden. In this role, she oversees the garden, the restaurant and all operations including aspects of the menus and appearance. Mette holds her Bachelor's degree in Gastronomy from Denmark University, which she obtained in 2005, and is a member of NACL. Moving forward, she will publish her first cookbook in 2019 and wants to hire more female chefs to work at her establishment and make it more accessible for women to remain longer in the kitchen. Frequently lauded for her work, Mette was named One of the Best New Chefs of the Year in Denmark. When not engaged with work, Mette enjoys running, yoga and travel.
