She has a Bachelors in Business as well as two Masters in Finance and Education, and considers herself to be very passionate about her profession. Monica is currently the Director for Innovation and Business Development for a rapidly growing consulting company that specializes in Civil and Coastal Engineering, Environmental Management, and Sustainable Energy. The company, Axis Ingenieria S.A. de C.V., is located in Yucatan, Mexico. The division that she manages includes administration, finance, sales and marketing, and R&D. In the past year, the team she leads obtained government funding on 3 new innovative projects and is currently working to develop projects in renewable energy and environmental management. She is also a Professor, teaching at a graduate and undergraduate level in areas such as finance and accounting. She speaks fluent English and Spanish.
