Maria Helena Pereira is an accomplished environmental consultant and auditor with diverse experience working with companies in mining, water, waste and sewage, and more. For the past 15 years, Helena has excelled in consulting for environmental, quality, safety and energy management, as an auditor and trainer. She is also an EUTS Verifier and SEVESO Verifier. Prior to this consultancy, Helena spent 2.5 years at a uranium mining company as an environmental control and impact assessment technician, focusing on environmental assessments, legal compliance and participation in international technical study in mining tailings recovery and control. Helena also spent 9.5 years on a Petrochemical site as Environmental Manager, focusing on impact assessment, air emission estimates and control, hydro-geological study, waste management, leak detection and repair, working with international environmental groups. Her main achievements were in assessment of environmental impact and knowledge of the activities performed on site, overseeing the leak detection program, CO2 emission estimates, and general environmental control. Helena speaks English, Portuguese, French, and some Spanish and Italian. She works with several groups and is a member of APEA - Portuguese Association of Environmental Engineering, Helena thrives on maintaining good relationships with her clients, has a lot of technical competence, loves Tech Qualification, and is interested in perhaps moving into more of a management role.
