Mireya del Pilar Gutierrez has over 18 years of experience working in the consumer goods industry. An award-winning branding and marketing expert with a global reach, she has worked for top Fortune 500 companies like Colgate-Palmolive, Procter & Gamble (The Gillette Co.), Nestle and Estee Lauder. She has an MBA in Marketing and Marketing Management and speaks Spanish, English and some Portuguese. She began her career as Brand Manager for Confectionary/Chocolate Products for Nestle SA and in 2000 became the Regional Brand Manager for Gillette where she increased customer awareness and product sales. Known for her innovation and ability to increase profit and market shares, she was asked in 2004 to become the Regional Mr. Brand Manager of Personal Care. She created marketing strategies and new product launches for many high profile brands. She was promoted to Colgate's Regional Shopper Marketing Manager in 2008 and was asked to use her considerable knowledge to help boost sales in Central America as the Marketing Manager - Personal Care Central America Region in 2011. In 2014, Mireya was working in the capacity of Shopper Insights and Strategy Category Manager - Travel Retail for Estee Lauder. It was during this time that Mireya realized that she wanted to use her vast branding acumen to market socially conscious companies. In 2016, she launched her company, MIA Tribe Inc., dedicated to “Empowering Brands That We Love.”
