I am a successful woman working in traditional men environment such as automotive companies. I must have learnt about car systems, norms, laws and even designs; but I am proud because I have achieved professional growth and respect through discipline and hard work. I specialized in business operations and supply chain, so I'd like to apply my experience and knowledge in supply chain and manufacturing operations to a role as materials, procurement, purchasing, logistics or supply chain manager or as a mentor.

Monica Resendiz-Vera is the Purchasing and Logistics Manager at Grupo ABC de Mexico S A de CV. With over fifteen years of experience in her career, Monica is best known for her expertise in purchasing, negotiations and strategy. In her current role, Monica oversees three plants and she is responsible for handling direct purchasing, negotiations, developing strategy and project management. Prior to this role, Monica served as a Buyer Planner and Supervisor.
Following the completion of her Bachelor’s degree, Monica went on to receive a Master’s of Business Administration degree in International Business at Universidad la Salle. During her Master’s study, her thesis on Supply Chain was published.
In the next three to five years, Monica plans to continue growing and progressing in her career. She would like to transition from her role into that of the Director of Purchasing, Logistics or Supply Chain. She attributes her success to her tenacity, persistence, hard work, honesty and loyalty. Monica is very proud of all she has accomplished thus far in her career, as well as having the support of her family.
