I come from a modest family based in Rajasthan, India. My father runs a successful business for turnkey solutions in Africa and India. My mother is a homemaker who has supported my father in every step of his life and my younger brother, who is an avionics scientist by education, is running a successful handicraft business of his own.

Mridula Sharma, owner and co-founder of PuroBoho.com, is a professional engineer currently pursuing her Ph.D. Being a native of Rajasthan, Northwest India, Mridula started her business as an online shop featuring handcrafted bags, accessories, shoes, and more manufactured by rural artisans from India, Columbia and Morocco. Vintage materials are imported from Pakistan and Afghanistan for women in the village to upcycle into various bags, which are brought to Europe for sale via boutiques and social media. Many of the women are the sole providers for their families.
Mridula has a M.Sc in Electrical Communication Engineering from Universität Kassel and a Bachelors of Technology in Electronics and Communication from Mody Institute of Technology and Science. She is proud to have started her own company, making a successful career change. She is eager to network and share with like-minded female professionals. Her hobbies include traveling, reading, Zentangle and Crossfit.
