Manal Tahtamouni has been the Chief of Health and Nutrition at UNICEF for approximately 1 year. To this role, Manal brings dynamic leadership skill and unmatched expertise in advocacy, reproductive and sexual health, obstetrics, gynecology, and sexual and gender based violence. Manal works directly with the government of Jordan and ministry of health helping refugee camps in Jordan.
Manal holds her Master's degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the University of Jordan and is a member of the Medical Association of Jordan and the OBGYN Society of Jordan. Additionally, she conducts a lot of workshops and conferences on different topics such as reproductive and sexual health and gender based violence. Moving forward, Manal will be resigning from her position at UNICEF to focus on consulting and training in the region and she would like to expand her business internationally.
When not engaged with work, Manal enjoys reading and interior design. She is also on the board of many local organizations and does a lot of volunteering in health and social activities.
