Personal Information
Miranda Whylly Smith is a compassionate, accomplished dentist for both children and adults. Utilizing the latest technology in dentistry, she achieves better oral care for all. Originally from the Bahamas, Miranda excelled throughout her education, finishing as the top female student in her high school and winning the spelling bee competition. She also finished as a Howard University Top 10 Dental Graduate for her DDS, and was also the recipient of the American Association of University Women Scholarship, the Howard University Trustee Scholarship, and the Lyford Key Scholarship. Miranda conducted her GPR (General Practice Residency) at Howard University Hospital and was also Chief Dental Resident at York Hospital.
She is a member of the ADA- American Dental Association, the ADG- American Dental Group, and Hernando County Dental Association, Volunteer Connection. Miranda is dedicated to providing quality dental care to disenfranchised communities, and has run an annual program called Give Kids A Smile day for the past few years where she and two other female dentists provide free dental care and procedures to kids and people without insurance. She also participates in Volunteer Connection and Crescent Community Clinic. In addition, she has participated in several dental conventions in New York, Orlando, Las Vegas including the Hinman Dental Convention.
In her spare time, Miranda enjoys going to the YMCA to exercise with her 12 year old daughter who enjoys swimming. She also likes reading, writing, decorating, and baking cookies for the neighborhood. Miranda takes enormous pride in providing the best oral care to her patients, and is very motivated to continue helping others have better lives.
