Personal Information
Nancy Sacco began her career with Avexis in November 2015 as VP of Clinical Development. She is responsible for the development of products; writing of technical, medical and strategy reports; vendor management for trails that are in phases 1-4. She is also in charge of development plans for rare diseases, designing clinical trials, collaborating with regulatory affairs, and identifying key vendors. She has a PhD in Biology and Anatomy and a Masters Degree in Anatomy and Histopathology.
Throughout her career, Nancy has had experience with Astellas, Takeda, Cytochroma, Pfizer, Warner-Lambert/Parke Davis pharmaceutical companies. She has acquired expertise in redesigning therapies, interactive procedures, and global project teams. She also led strategic opportunities, policy, and procedures. She lectures frequently on the topics of drug development and more women in science and tech. Nancy has been published well over 100 times over her many years in the industry. Within the next five years, she would like to explore the rare diseases more and be involved with new therapies and intervention. She would like to move up in Biotech start-ups and would like to become a COO or in a position to oversee development operations.
