Patria has devoted her life to education. Starting her career as a freelancer, she worked her way up the corporate ladder, landing on the position of Director of Health & Medical Journalism at the University of Georgia. She spends her professional days teaching the core curriculum, student placement, outreach programs, funding, coordinating admissions to name a few of her duties. With over 25 years of experience, she credits her success to her tenacity, ingenuity, nimbleness, being open and never getting bogged down with past experiences. She hopes in the future to be able to pass the torch onto a capable and well-suited individual.
