More than 25 years
Paula Theresa Mellon, founder of Optibiz, is a serial entrepreneur with over 25 years of executive experience. Paula spent 16 years in electrical engineering and patented a dual cone technology cable gland. She stepped into the information technology field where she worked for seven years importing and distributing a niche product into 54 African countries. Now a solar industry consultant, Paula focuses on resolving challenging technical problems and utilizing her experience and expertise to identify purposeful ideas and turn them into a reality.
Since recently relocating to the United States, Paula has fostered a mutually beneficial partnership with many clients in various cities from San Diego to San Francisco to proactively bridge and unify the gap between industry, local government and community leaders in the solar and energy storage sector. She has always had a passion for the science of sustainable and renewable energy for the sake of future generations. She is a member of the California Engineer Association, Sustainable Energy, and the Energy Coalition Association.
