Dr. Pauline Aweto is an esteemed academic, writer and philanthropist with over 15 years of experience teaching, lecturing, writing, and forging the way for woman internationally. Having recently left her longtime position with London South East Colleges, Dr. Aweto now plans to focus full time on working towards the the prevention of human trafficking. Dr. Aweto received her PhD in Philosophy from the Salesian University in Rome in 1992 before going on to publish multiple books on religion, human trafficking, gender based violence, and an international encyclopedia for women in 2001. She is a former member of the British Philosopher Association and was named African Migrant Woman of the Year in 2017 for contributing her book proceeds to the building of churches in Africa. A dynamic public speaker, Dr. Aweto spoke at an international conference in May 2018 and another for international sex trafficking in Italy in September 2018. Moving forward, she hopes to set up her own company with the objective of supporting human trafficking victims around the world. In her spare time, Dr. Aweto is a prolific writer and engages in frequent charity work within churches and the sex trafficking community.
