Parbateer Siewdass is a Lecturer at UWI, St. Augustine. She has over 35 years of experienece in her career field and 11 years at her current position. She says on a day to day basis she is a part of academic advising, academic development, development of faculty and other programs. She went into her career field when she realized there was a need to quality education and wanted to make sure she was part of the change in the education system.
She says her expertise are in oncology nursing and public health. Parbateer has a Doctoral degree in Education and Leadership from the University of Colorado in 2007. She is an Executive Member of Sigma Tat International Chi Chapter. She also belongs to the National League of Nursing, American Cancer Society, Oncology Nursing Society and the International Diabetes Federation. She often speaks about her research studies and conducts letters on health and safety.
She says the key to her success has been staying updated so she can provide quality education and new strategies of teaching. In the next few years she hopes to stay focused on conducting and implementing her research on topics of teaching and learning. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
