Rafaella Lopes has worked for Medtronic for over 20 years. Medtronic is the largest medical design company in the world. She is responsible for the entire country of Brazil. She manages all function in HR, HR operations, compensation, etc. Her focus is about the development of leaders and supporting company growth through executive leadership. Rafaella really likes dealing with the complexity of human beings. She says people have great potential and she enjoys being a part of that as well as learning continually about human and human interaction. Rafaella’s expertise are in strategic thinking, decision making, problem solving and coaching. She has her Master’s Degree in Human Resources. Rafaella is a member of The Strategic HR Community for the American Chamber in Brazil and The Medical Devices Networking Association in Brazil. She does some public speaking internally within the company. Rafaella recently won the Global Award from Medtronic for a Strategic Workforce Planning Project. She also has her Post-graduation certification in executive coaching and certifications in chain management and organizational design as well. In the future she hopes to be regional VP in Latin America or taking on an HR business partner lead outside of Brazil. Rafaella says the key to her success has been having really high bars for everything she does and being open-minded. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
