Dr. Rasheedah Bankole is Consultant Psychiatrist for the elderly for the NHS in the United Kingdom. With over 13 years of experience in the psychiatric field, She has had experience working both in Southern and North Ireland. She specializes in the assessment, diagnosis and management of patients with dementia as well as managing patients with varying mental health conditions. She is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrist (MR Psych, UK), British Medical Association (BMA), Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (NMDC), and the Medical Association of Nigerians across Great Britain (MANSAG). A distinguished doctor and scholar, Rasheedah holds an M.B.Ch.B (lle-Ife, Nigeria), DMH (Belfast), MRCPsych (UK), certificate in counselling and psychotherapy (Dublin), and Certificate Level 2 as personal fitness trainer (UK). She founded the mental wellness for the elderly foundation in Nigeria, of which she also served as Director. Rasheedah is an advocate for and leader in the feminist movement across Africa, and strongly believes in women’s empowerment. She is a member of Toastmaster International (Salford Speaker's branch), where she is a dynamic speaker, and volunteers as a listener at Samaritan, UK. Looking ahead, Rasheedah hopes to retire early and work full-time as a volunteer in Africa, encouraging the active aging life style. She credits her success to having resilience and passion. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
