Dr. Reem Al-Essa has worked in the Ministry of Health, Drug and Food Control Department for over a decade, earning a promotion to the position of Drug Registration and Release Superintendent in 2003. The bulk of her research studies have been to evaluate the GCC regulatory review processes of pharmaceutical products carried out in the Gulf region, and she is currently focusing on the areas of benefit-risk assessment of medicines. Dr. Al-Essa attributes her success to her education, which have helped provide her with numerous opportunities. In 2012, she was able to make the change to the Education Management sector, opening her own company called Kuwait Advancement for Conference and Exhibition EST. Because of her passion and knowledge, she was able to build and sustain an excellent reputation with her clients. Dr. Al-Essa is also currently in the process of writing a book with 3 co-authors entitled, "Challenges and Opportunities of the Regulatory Systems in the Gulf Region."
