Rachel Macaulay has been working in the communications field for about 6 years. She is currently the communications specialist for Huron University. There are only two people in her department and she is responsible for a broad range of tasks. Some of her responsibilities include managing media account, media relations, content development, and she also publishes stories highlighting the accomplishments of the alumni of the University.
She has been pushing to become the lead principal writer for the university being that writing is something she really loves to do. She has always loved writing in fact she has about 10 years experience being a writer. Originally she wanted to become an English teacher but realized it wasn't the right career path because she wouldn't be able to show off her creative side.
Rachel is looking to move into a more advanced role and take on more leadership opportunities. In the next few years she is hoping to grow as freelance writer as well. She is always looking to improve herself and by joining the association she hopes to learn from others as well as share her experience. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to
gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
