Biography

Sandra Herrera is a Senior consultant on Environmental Issues at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) where she works on eradicating pollution in cities, the relationships between government and NGOs, researches opportunities to solve problems with pollution and attempts to develop within society regulations and public policy. Sandra holds her Master's degree in Urban Development from University El Americana in Mexico City and is a member of the Mexican Association for Science and Environmental Engineering "AMITA". In 3 to 5 years, Sandra wants to be in a position in a more lateral international organization and to be in charge of an office in Mexico. Moving forward, she hopes to network with likeminded professionals as much as possible, particularly women within the environmental sector.
