Sandra Romero will begin her position as Component Coordinator with the UN in November 2018 where she will evaluate government strategy related to the Peace Agreement signed in 2016 with particular focus on the impact on interventions for children. Her professional experience includes 14 years managing investment projects involving the private sector with public and international cooperation. Her responsibilities included resource allocation, execution and monitoring and evaluation of social impact of these projects. She performed humanitarian work, construction of public policies, processes of community participation and income generation strategies in Organizations like the International Organization for Migration and the National Department of Planning and Colpensions. Also a prolific writer, Ms. Romero wrote 13 documents on Public Policy for the National Department of Planning of Columbia from 2013 to 2014. She also participated in writing UN Reports as part of the team or staff from 2007 through 2013. She holds her Master's in Development, Public Policy and Social Programs from External University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Development Projects from the School of Public Administration. When not engaged with work, Ms. Romero enjoys international travel, yoga, swimming and cooking.
