Sara Yusta is a librarian at the University of Magallanes. She has more than 30 years of professional experience in her career. Sara is currently operating in Punta Arenas Chile. Sara has worked at the University between 1995 and 2005, and then from 2005 until today. She also worked at the Universidad Santo Tomás, Temuco campus, and at the Universidad Católica de Temuco, where she served as Director of the Library System. She is in charge of the public service section of the central library and the automated system. One of the objectives of her activity is to connect people with the information they need for their work, such as students, teachers or researchers. She is a member of the International Association of Aquatic and Marine Science Libraries and Information Center (IAMSLIC), and coordinates the Latin Group of that association. She is also involved in supporting students with disabilities, actively participating in the University's Program for this purpose. She is part of the Colegio de Bibliotecarios de Chile (Chilean Librarians Association) and also actively participates in the Libraries Comission which advises the Consejo de Rectores de las Universidades Chilenas (Chilean Public University Council). She is eager to establish contacts and connect with other like-minded professionals, as well as gain recognition and credibility as a member.
