Sarah Dodsworth, Operational Manager RCN South East at Royal College of Nursing, started her 30 year professional career before moving to "the other side" working in operations. She moved on to become first, a Regional Officer, then a Project Manager and now an Operations Manager managing a team who are responsible for the delivery of trade union and professional nursing services within the counties of Kent Surrey and Sussex. From the time she was a little girl and wore her first uniform, she wanted to be a nurse. She also liked helping people and making a difference. She moved into operations and is now performing more of a Human Resource Management role because of her special interest in coaching and facilitation. Sarah especially enjoys coaching and facilitating action learning sets and group development sessions. She holds her Master's degree in Human Resource Management from South Bank University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Nursing from Kings College. Moving forward, Sarah hopes to become the Associate Director of Nursing within 3 years and the Director of Nursing or Director of Human Resources within 5 years. When not engaged with work, Sarah is a Channel swimmer and enjoys reading and cycling.
