Shelley Thompson founded and has operated "KnotJustFloors" since 2014 and has run a top-rated business earning 8 awards and 5 stars for every year over 5 years from Home Advisors. She does everything in the business from sales, to ordering material, to payroll, accounting and recruiting and managing crews. The business installs, sands and refinishes hardwood fall and also does luxury vinyl tiles and laminates.
Shelley took on the role of office manager for a gentleman who ran such a business when she became a single mother and ended up doing everything to run the business. One day, one of the developers with whom they did business told her she should do this for herself, so she stepped out on faith.
Shelley holds her AA in Business Management from Garden State University and is a member of the Better Business Bureau. Moving forward, she plans to see the company grow and to help and encourage young women and show them they can "do it."
In her spare time, Shelley enjoys cooking, design, theatre and concerts.
