Shelly Burgess is Chief Financial Officer of Matrix Video Communications Corp., where she oversees the financial department and budgets, supervising and 8 person team. The company focuses on custom audio visual systems and designing contracts. She has been hands on through the life cycle of the company products, and had the opportunity to open a distributorship in 1994, and jumped at the chance.
After earning a degree in Accounting from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, class of 1989, Shelly launched her career in finance and accounting, quickly demonstrating her management potential. She is a member of the Association of Integrated Contractors and Women Focus Groups. Looking ahead, she plans to break further into the Eastern Canadian market, and is proud of the partnerships and key working relationships she has forged.
